Brookmill Medical Centre is a progressive up-to-date service, providing a comprehensive family doctor service to our patients. The Practice consistently scores very highly in QOF (Quality & Outcomes Framework), and we are constantly striving to maintain and improve the quality of service we provide.
The Practice is also approved for training GPs (GP Registrars). The Registrars are qualified doctors who have to complete a year in an approved General Practice site before going on to become a GP.
Dr Fellows has responsibility for this training.
Please notify the staff of any change of name and/or address within the family. A current contact number would be helpful.
New babies should be registered with a doctor as soon after leaving hospital as possible.
Remember an appointment is for one person only - if you wish to consult about another member of your family, please make two appointments.
Please try to avoid asking the doctor for your repeat prescription - we have dedicated prescription receptionists who can help.
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely make available. This scheme is available from reception.
We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.
