The Primary Health Care Team (PHCT) is made up of many people. As well as the staff permanently based at the Medical Centre, there are visiting staff such as:-
Midwives - The midwives are available for all aspects of care and advice before, during and after pregnancy. They attend at our antenatal clinics.
Health Visitors - The Health Visitors work mainly with the antenatal group, children under five and the elderly.
District Nurses - The District Nurses provide nursing, treatment and advice to the housebound and patients recently discharged from hospital.
Counsellors - There are various counsellors attached to the surgery to help those experiencing all types of difficulties, stresses and strains.
Health Trainers - Helping people to achieve a healthier lifestyle with the help of local services.
