COVID – 19

IMPORTANT NOTICE – PLEASE READ Due to the developments with COVID-19 (corona virus), we are asking that you do not attend the practice unless you are asked to do so by the GP / staff.

All GP appointments are now by telephone triage initially. We are in the process of contacting everyone with a GP appointment, if you have not heard from us and have an appointment booked, please contact the practice. If you have an appointment with one of the nurses, we will assess if you should attend. For those who are classed as vulnerable (elderly / chronic disease etc), we will be in touch, if you have not heard from us and are due to attend, please contact the practice before your appointment.

We will also allow prescription requests over the phone while these restrictions are in place, but you will be asked at that point to register for online services if you have not done so already, and everyone will be asked to nominate a pharmacy to receive your prescriptions electronically. If you need to phone regarding repeat prescriptions, please do not do so in the morning, this could prevent people with urgent need getting through. The situation is developing and advice is changing on a daily basis, we will endeavour to keep you as up to date as possible on how this may impact the services at the practice.

The latest guidance has added the following to the list of who should self isolate: • new continuous cough and / or • high temperature More advice is available at https://www.nhs.uk/
