Minor surgery

We offer appointments for joint injections within the practice as well as minor surgery. Minor surgery services include removal of skin tags, warts and cysts.

Family planning

Our clinicians are able to provide advice in the family planning. In addition to cervical smears and the contraceptive injection we offer appointments for the contraceptive implant & COIL fittings.

If you are pregnant, or just found out you are pregnant, you can book straight in to see the Midwife, no need to see the GP!

Ask at reception when the clinics will be held and we will be happy to book you in.

Emergency contraception

This is available to those who may be at risk of an unplanned pregnancy because of failed or inadequate contraception. See the doctor as soon as possible – you will be offered an ’emergency’ appointment the same day if you let the receptionist know why you need to be seen.

Emergency contraception may be supplied up to five days after the event, not just the ‘morning after’.

There is a 24 hour emergency contraception advice line provided by local family planning services tel 01942 778 615.

Some pharmacies are also able to supply emergency contraception.

Practice pharmacist

We have an on site practice pharmacist working at Brookmill who can provide face to face support with medication changes, complete medication reviews and assist with newly commenced medication. Patients have the option to book directly into the clinics or be referred by the GP.
